    Paleo Friendly Blueberry Pumpkin Muffins

You might be wondering about now what is up with me and pancakes/muffins on my website!  Ok, I admit it, I like to bake and I am always looking for something quick to have in the morning with my coffee.  It keeps me from getting the jitters and keeps my cortisol levels from spiking too high during my morning coffee (excessive cortisol leads to belly fat!).   I have created this recipe from other great paleo muffin recipes, adding blueberries (because they are in season) and Vanilla Trim Shake, for extra protein and a smidge of sweetness.  The objective here is not to create a super sweet muffin, but something with a healthy punch of protein and fats that will satisfy to go along with your spinach and eggs!  Gourmet!

    Top 5 Essential Oils Revealed

Many health minded parents and aromatherapy practitioners have discovered that there are several of the many essential oils that they just can't live without.  Each unique in their qualities, they offer a strong foundation for anyone getting started using essential oils in their home or practice.  I keep the following 5 essential oils on hand for the many benefits they deliver.  Of course, these are just my favorites...you probably have your favorites too!  It is really was hard to pick!

    Lavender

Lavender is considered the "universal oil" in aromatherapy circles. A very calming scent, lavender treats burns and stings, cuts and bruises, and is also effective for combating allergies, cancer, cold sores, dandruff, menstrual cramps and insomnia.  I diffuse Lavender and Cedarwood for a lovely yoga blend.

    Chamomile

Roman chamomile is so named because Roman centurions and gladiators used it to clear their mind and imbue themselves with co...

5 Tips for Women to Build Lean Muscle Tone and Reduce Body Fat

If you are reading this post you are probably frustrated with your results as it pertains to building and "showing-off" those muscles that you are working so hard to achieve. Many women work very hard in the gym or studio and never really seem to see the results in the mirror. I understand that womenseek to improve their fitness levels, partly for health reasons and partly for looks. When it comes to looking more toned, this is achieved by building muscle tone and making those muscles much leaner while reducing stubborn body fat.

But how is this achieved for women?

We all know that women’s bodies are different to men’s in many ways so how we build muscle is also a little different.

Generally, muscle tone improves when the muscle fibers become larger, which is often the result of consistent metabolicweight training that gets youto the "after burn" effect. Building lean muscle and reducing body fat is not all about exercise as we...
